Who We Are
Our story began in 2002 when Jason Kicza founded Northeast Tree Care, originally known as Northeast Hardscapes. What started with a focus on landscape construction soon evolved into a passion for arboriculture, leading to the name change in 2012 to better reflect our dedication to tree care.
This year marks an exciting new chapter for Northeast Tree Care as Josh Kicza, Jason's brother, has taken the helm. Josh has been part of the journey since the beginning, working alongside Jason in the early days to establish the company. After branching out to start his own successful logging business, Josh spent over a decade immersed in the industry. However, he found himself longing for the meaningful impact that comes from directly supporting homeowners and property owners in our community.
When Josh learned that Jason was considering transitioning out of the business, he saw it as a perfect opportunity to return to the work he truly loves. Josh's return is driven by his passion for helping people in Western Massachusetts, bringing his extensive experience and a renewed commitment to serving our clients with excellence.

ISA-Certified Arborists
An arborist by definition is an individual who is trained in the art and science of planting, caring for, and maintaining individual trees. ISA arborist certification is a nongovernmental, voluntary process by which individuals can document their base of knowledge. Certified Arborists are individuals who have achieved a level of knowledge in the art and science of tree care through experience and by passing a comprehensive examination developed by some of the nation’s leading experts on tree care.

Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA)
Established in 1938, the Tree Care Industry Association is a trade association of more than 2,000 commercial tree care firms and affiliated companies. TCIA develops safety and education programs, standards of tree care practice, and management information for arboriculture firms around the world.
